In Nautilus, point at the file created in step 1<br \/>\n3. Right-click for context menu<br \/>\n4. Select Move to Trash<br \/>\n5. Press Ctrl-Z\/Select Undo from the Edit menu<\/p>\n<p>What happens:<br \/>\nNothing<\/p>\n<p>What I expect to happen:<br \/>\nFor the file to recover from trash to ~.<\/p>\n<p>What works:<br \/>\n* Undoing Move to Trash with files with no scandinavian letters in their path\/filename.<br \/>\n* Recovering foo_\u00e5\u00e4\u00f6 by opening Trash and selecting Recover from context menu.<\/p>\n<p>More info:<br \/>\n* Could be that more characters, perhaps all non-ASCII characters render Nautilus&#8217; Undo impotent \u2014 I&#8217;ve only tested \u00e5, \u00e4 and \u00f6.<br \/>\n* The Finnish translation for Desktop (~\/Desktop) is Ty\u00f6p\u00f6yt\u00e4, which means files moved to trash from Desktop can&#8217;t be recovered.
