I\u2019ve just been infor\u00admed by Tuo\u00admas<\/a> that the Depu\u00adty Natio\u00adnal Police Com\u00admis\u00adsio\u00adner<\/a> had found the demand made by the Oulu police to remo\u00adve my posts<\/a> to be unlaw\u00adful. He had also admit\u00adted somet\u00adhing that to me seems an impor\u00adtant point: \u201cthe law regar\u00adding the free\u00addom of speech and mass media is not known well enough among the police.\u201d This to me is what the who\u00adle mess was about: I never con\u00adsi\u00adde\u00adred the officer in ques\u00adtion to be evil, he just didn\u2019t know the law he was wiel\u00adding. #<\/a><\/p>\n

That in itself is a serious mat\u00adter, natu\u00adral\u00adly, since the police of all people should know the law by which they come to dea\u00adlings with people. Howe\u00adver, I\u2019m hap\u00adpy to find the police in this case wil\u00adling to admit that a mis\u00adta\u00adke has been made. #<\/a><\/p>\n
