What they were seeing, however, was the success of [Adblock Filterset.G Updater Add-On for Firefox], which I hosted through them here at pierceive.com. Customizing toolbars in IE7
Via T. Schreiner: In order to bring the menu to the top, you need to adjust or set (if it isn’ there, which, by default, it isn’t) the following registry key to a DWORD value 1 (00000001):
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\WebBrowser].Via enhanceIE.com (via jsalpha2): To make the search box disappear, you need to adjust or set
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\InfoDelivery\Restrictions]to a DWORD value 1 (00000001). For my SP2 level XP installation, all the keys fromMicrosoft\onwards had to be created (i.e. the rest of the path wasn’t there by default).As for the rest of it… well, apparently there’s just no way of removing or even moving the other buttons for favorites’ manipulation and so on. (Yes, I know that if you unlock the toolbar, you can push it to the side, but you can’t chop it off it’s position and move it to, say, the other side of the tab bar, let alone moving it vertically.)
Wait a minute, you need to tweak the registry in order to customize IE7 toolbars to your liking, and even then you don’t get all that you want?!
You’ve got to be kidding me.
The GUI customization in IE7 is a joke compared to… well, I guess pretty much any other modern browser. Thank goodness there are better alternatives. (I’ll skip the cliché of linking to Firefox or Opera her… d’oh!)

Nordean korttien toiminnassa oli katko
Nordean pankkikorttien toiminnassa oli runsaan tunnin katko aamupäivällä. Katko haittasi myös varmennuksia. Pankin mukaan kyse oli laiteviasta.
Nordea huoltaa järjestelmiään tulevana lauantaina, jolloin katkoja on myös odotettavissa. Viimeksi maanantaina Sampo-pankin järjestelmässä oli vikaa.

Notepad++ and System Err
I had this problem pop up recently each time I tried to start Notepad++, my editor of choice. I uninstalled the version I had and installed the latest version, which was 3.9 at the time, which seemed to fix the problem.
Until today, when it would once again just give me the stupid “System Err” popup, and not start. It seems reinstalling over the existing installation doesn’t fix this, you have to uninstall it first and then reinstall to make it work. Which might get pretty annoying, if you have to do this every couple of days.
All Google seems to know about this is in French, but it seems those guys too have just the uninstall/reinstall solution for this. They do seem to recommend even deleting any remaining files after uninstalling and before reinstalling – specifically
nppshellext.dllwhich for some reason doesn’t get uninstalled propery.Wait a minute – at Framasoft’s Np++ post, in the first comment thread (what an annoying habit to hide the comments behind clickable JavaScript – breaks permalinks, bad bad…) they’re saying the problem is caused by C:\Documents and Settings \your name\Application Data\Notepad++\nativeLang.xml – removing it should fix the problem. I’ll have to wait until the next time the problem reappears to verify this.

Sampon tietokonejärjestelmässä vikaa sunnuntaina
Sampo-pankin verkkopankin, pankkikorttien ja -automaattien toimintaa haittasi päivityksistä syntynyt vika sunnuntaina. Järjestelmä saatiin korjattua viiden aikoihin iltapäivällä. Vika esti muun muassa on line -varmistusta vaativien pankkikorttien käytön.
