18:34: Korjaus: kyllä se sitten alkoi hidastelemaan justiin tuolloin. Kyse oli vain siitä että tuo ikkuna laahasi vissiin jäljessä kun edelliskerran tuota katsoessa se näytti että vielä parisataa megaa kestää siirtää ja seuraavassa hetkessä jo sitten olikin hujahtanut rompun verran miinukselle.

Apparently it's possible to voltage mod the Radeon8500 with a simple pencil! Well actually, I used a 4B pencil, and here is how you do it.... What you want to do is look for these two particular resistors in the red circles on the back of the ATi Radeon 8500. Once you find them, the trick is to draw a few strokes along one side of the resistor so you "short" the solder contacts and decrease the overall resistance between the points.

Syyssiivous
Lattioiden imurointi ja samalla sitten katsotaan onko jotakin tehtävissä näyttökortin potkurille joka huutaa kuin mikäkin aina koneen ollessa päällä.
On se taas jonkin verran kerännyt sitä pölyä päältä päin katsottuna, joten otetaan kolme paikallaan pitelevää ruuvia auki ja katsotaan mitä löytyy.

Putsauksessa ei imuri auta kun pöly on jotain tahnamaiseksi pinttynyttä sorttia, joten pumpulipuikoin ja desinfiointiainein käyn sen kimppuun. Saan enimmät paskat pois siilistä, potkuri itse jää jonkin verran huonommin käsitellyksi kun on niin monimutkainen ettei pumpulipuikot oikein taivu joka koloon.

Knoppix 3.6 is Out, What's New?
So, is Knoppix 3.6 worth the download? I would say that if you are happy with 3.4 and you aren't interested in the FreeNX server that you would be fine to stick back with 3.4 for now, at least until it is upgraded to KDE 3.3. But if you are using an older release, 3.3 or older, or you want to try out FreeNX, I definitely recommend giving 3.6 a try.

Via Technologies has released a version of the open-source Xine media player that is designed to take advantage of hardware digital video acceleration capabilities in two of the company's PC chipsets, the CN400 and CLE266. Shortly after the release of the WordPerfect for Linux proof-of-concept product, Corel took it down from its Web site and put up a note saying that "This product is temporarily unavailable for purchase." APNG is an extension of the PNG format, adding support for animated images. Quest for holy grail of game controllers
The GameCube controller was too small. The original Xbox controller too big. The Joytech Neo S I had became worthless after just a few heavy Ninja Gaiden sessions when the rubber on the left stick tore. I have never really been that big a fan of the DualShock 2: it is tough and responsive but there is something just plain workmanlike about it, and it has a tendency toward sweatiness.
