Jani spent the morning unit-testing #Unity 2D (3D I tested a couple of nights ago). Funnily, if I were to choose between the two based on these tests, I'd definitely go for 3D: 2D seems horribly broken. But in my day-to-day use the experience has been opposite: I haven't come across any of the 2D bugs turned up by the tests, whereas 3D always ends up crashing and burning just after few minutes of use. My use of Unity's features don't apparently correspond very well with the tests. But I'm once again giving 3D a chance now based on those test results. It's so much better supported than 2D that it'd be a safer bet. (Now let's just hope it doesn't crash before I hit the Publish button...)
