What is surprising to me is that we’re still so hung up on this. AFAIK we’ve even done actual experiments somewhat like Schrödinger’s cat and it’s not widely thought that superpositions survive anywhere near the level of a cat, and that the unresolved issues currently being scrutinised are things like ”how big an object can we keep in a superposition for any useful length of time”.

So please, skin the cat and tell us what we know about it in 2013!
