As one of those who noted the omission, I’ll just agree with the current top comments here: you’re doing great, just keep on doing what you do! I especially enjoyed the punch cards video, the technical details were fascinating to learn about.

I’m sure he knows what he’s talking about, even if I still, after all three of these videos don’t. It’s as if he’s afraid of coming out of the depths he dwells in this subject, so as not to fool us (or himself?) into thinking it’s actually any simplified analogy he might come up with. I for one just can’t reach what he was getting at, and I think it’s a first for me in Numberphile videos.
Looks like you have to hit the mines right at the top, which kind of makes sense if that’s where the detonator is. But it sure feels like dumb artificial difficulty; they might as well just blow up from enough hits anywhere on the explosive.
(Unless, of course, this is his CS expert’s opinion on the whole ”importance of the kernel vs. userland” issue, in which case I merely bow my head in shame of my ignorance.)
