Oh noes, stuck in an infinite loop.
This one was way ahead of its time. In fact the world still has to catch up for this to make sense.
Also: scrotum gun at 12:20.
Good thing that the beginning was muted, those mighty roars probably would’ve frightened me from watching till the end!
The description currently says this is enrichment for cougars. I think that’s a mistake although the cougars probably would be thrilled with the hogs’ company… :-)
Adam in t-shirt is the only one appropriately dressed. Regards, a Finn
You and your imperial currencies. We need an SI unit for money.
We perhaps could have avoided at least some of the public nonsense by calling the LHC a ”Detector” rather than a ”Collider”, as it’s actually just the detection of these events that’s somewhat outside of what nature does by itself all the time.
Gandalf’s concealed displeasure with Saruman’s presence in this scene felt weird to me. I’m no Tolkien expert, but from the LOTR films it seemed Gandalf was more timid and respectful towards Saruman, until the White Wizard turned against Gandalf and Middle Earth. The displeasure in the prequel here therefore seems untimely.
I was left wondering how come the models we have of the birth of the Universe don’t tell us about dark matter and energy being formed (and thus what it is and how to look for it). I guess it works the other way round, we need to know the properties of something before we start working out explanations of how it came to be. But then again, if something so pervasive as dark matter is real and yet missing from the current origin models, I’d expect them to make all kinds of false predictions.
