I had plugged in my phone via USB (as a mass memory device), after which Nautilus and Miro crashed. I was trying to send a report from Miro when this occurred. Other GUI apps running at the time were Synaptic, Chromium and Transmission.
There are lots of reports with this title already, but they are all from pre-11.10 era, and I believe there’s a bot that’ll tell me if this is a duplicate so no harm done if it is.
Crashes ever so often, during playback or skipping in video using mouse pointer on the timeline. Usually becomes nonresponsive and I have to kill it explicitly from the command-line.
I use the Miro player and usually stack up a few days worth of shows.
Couldn’t find your e-mail address within the two seconds I spent looking for it, so I’ll just throw this here:
While translating the strings[1], I came across an error in the originals: https://translations.launchpad.net/democracy/trunk/+pots/democracyplayer/fi/558/+translate ought to say ”Deleting/Removing a folder will delete/remove its contents” (for both singular and plural). I.e. there shouldn’t be an apostrophe in ”its”.
[1] I’m working on the Finnish translation, but there are many others so I couldn’t claim credit for myself alone.
I’m currently using Miro 3.5.1 from the PCF ’Releases’ PPA. I understand version 4.0 is well underway, so I’d like to give it a try. Is there a PPA for testing such development/unstable versions? I suppose I could compile from source, but PPA’s are so much easier.
Downloading videos from YouTube subscriptions has been broken in Miro 3.0.1 for a while now, and 3.0.3 includes a fix for this. I’ve successfully built 3.0.3 under Lucid and have been running it without problems for a week on my local system, so I think users at large would benefit from this backport.
