After considering cheaper alternatives, I decided I wanted a cover with built-in screen protection like this one. The fact that it’s more rugged than most others wasn’t bad either; I’m not particularly abusive towards my phone, but I do want it to survive the inevitable bumps, falls etc. that keeping a phone with me outdoors entails. And even indoors the Defender lets me utilize my phone more casually, as I don’t have to worry about dropping it even when ”holding it wrong”.
The outer shell does put some bulk on the phone, and it may not be the prettiest looking thing around, so if that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll want something else. For me the only minor usability issue so far is that the inside edge of the shell makes swiping notifications down from the top of the screen just a bit harder than with an uncovered phone. Hitting something tiny at any of the screen edges is similarly slightly hindered. But it’s easy to get used to and probably something that won’t be a big problem unless you like to play games that require high touch precision on the screen’s edges.

”Nopea konsti oikeuksien korjaamiseen” -komentorivin jälkimmäisessä komennossa *.php pitäisi nähdäkseni ympäröidä lainausmerkeillä (-name ’*.php’), sillä muuten ainakin Bash nappaa jokerimerkin ja tulkkaa ilmaisun liudaksi tiedostoja ennen komennon suorittamista, mikä aiheuttaa ”paths must precede expression” -virheen.
As I explained in the Edit paragraph I added, the ”solution” was more of the problem as I presented it going away (through related bugs getting fixed) than finding a path of steps to take.

- Olen kieltänyt puhelimeni asetuksissa näytön automaattisen kääntämisen, mutta Uutisvahdin yksittäisen uutisen näkymässä se kääntyy silti kun puhelin on kyljellään.

Having just installed one this weekend, I can confirm that at least ML-2165 (the non-wifi, USB-connected one) works under 12.04.3, with suld-driver-4.01.17 installed from the SULD repository.

Vilkaisin ennen ostopäätöstä muutamia PWM-tuuletinten kokoelma-arvosteluja, ja Nexusta niissä suositeltiin. Ilokseni tämä sattui olemaan vielä edullisimmasta päästä, joten kaupat oli helppo tehdä. En ole aiemmin asentanut kotelotuulettimia (silikonikiinnittimin varsinkaan), joten olisin kaivannut yksiselitteisiä asennusohjeita (mukana ei tullut), mutta eivät nämä varsinaisesti mitään rakettitiedettä ole, ja netistä löytyvin vinkein asennus meni niin kuin pitikin.
Helppo asennettava. Vakiojäähdyttimellä hiljainen ja viileä, mutta potkua piisaa. Viimeisetkin tehonrippeet suorittimestaan puristavat halunnevat K-mallin, mutta mikäli virtualisointi kiinnostaa, 3770:stä puolestaan löytyy Intelin VT-d.
