Bridge over dragon sunset

Yes the sky was on fire that evening when were going home from a trip to Enköping. The bridge over lake Mälaren called Hjulstabron was a perfect place to stay and enjoy the flames dancing on the sky with the warm reflections in the cold icy water.

Prometheus Talked

I suppose it's inevitable that you'll tell everything you know to make the giant eagle stop eating your liver day after day. (1)

What is Steven talking about?

We're not the only tool using species on the planet. it is known (2)

We thought we were the only species to use fire. give me the secret of man't red fire (3) Well there is very strong anecdotal evidence that Australian kites and falcons have figured out how to spread fires in order to drive more prey into the open. I'm hoping an intrepid photographer or two will capture evidence. I guarantee you that if I lived down in Australia, you could count on me to devote a few weekends to the effort. I'm sure some Australian photographer will be on top of this in no time at all, but STAY SAFE! those wildfires can be very dangerous and unpredictable, perhaps due to our feathered friends.

Now: read the article and have a great weekend!

Footnotes to explain perhaps puzzling quotes

(1) In Greek mythology Prometheus (a Titan!) stole fire from the gods and gave it to mankind. As a punishment Zeus had him chained to rock. A giant eagle came every day to dine on his liver which regrew overnight. raises the interesting question of whether the Greeks knew that the liver, alone among human organs, could regrow
