Euroopan lääkeviraston (EMA) lääketurvallisuuden riskinarviointikomitea (PRAC) on suositellut toimenpiteitä pseudoefedriiniä sisältäville lääkevalmisteille ohimenevän aivojen takaosan enkefalopatiaoireyhtymän (posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome, PRES) ja ohimenevän aivojen vasokonstriktio-oireyhtymän (reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome, RCVS) riskien minimoimiseksi.
